![]() ![]() We decided we felt uncomfortable and went to leave the beach and as we were leaving he was standing around with his friends pointing us out, saying yea that’s them. Well, he didn’t like that and started getting aggressive with my husband in front of our 2 small children. My husband said forget it we’ll just use our towels and lay here. We tried to say that was a little much and if they wouldn’t mind doing less, and then he went up to $40. $35 for 4 chairs l, that are disgusting and broken. Then when you finally get one person, they charge you an absurd amount of $ for chairs. From the second you step foot on this beach, you are harassed by at least 5 vendors all fighting over your business. How this beach has any good reviews is beyond me. ![]() The beach area is beautiful, but the vendors that work here are awful human beings. To conclude my review, I wouldn't go back to Cabbage Beach - but I would go back to the isolated beach - which was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! ![]() We walked through the shark tanks and took great pictures on the rope bridges. We grabbed a quick bite at one of the 'fast food' type restaurants at the Atlantis and then strolled through. We were able to enter through the beach entrance. A HUGE highlight was a walk through the Atlantis. When we walked back to our original spot it had calmed down a great deal but was still so very crowded. The water was calm, and the scenery was breathtaking! Thus, the "Nice End" to the disappointing start. The beach we found was isolated and totally beautiful. We decided to walk down the beach (away from the hotels) for about 2 miles. The water was so rough we couldn't even go in it - and when the tide came in everything got wet. It wasn't nice at all, was crowded and not what I was looking for. When you first walk onto the beach, the locals bombard you for chairs (which were gross), to have you use them for unlimited drinks (poured out of a Poland Spring Bottle), hair braiding, etc. When we exited the cruise ship, there were so many vans waiting to take us to the beach - we very clearly asked to go to Cable Beach (there were 10 of us)) - we wound up in Cabbage Beach. The Bahamas was a stop on my cruise itinerary. ![]()
